Dainerys Machado Vento is a PhD student in Literary, Cultural, and Linguistic Studies of the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Miami. In 2016, Dainerys completed her master’s degree in Hispanic American Literature at El Colegio de San Luis, México.
She holds a B.A. in Journalism at La Universidad de La Habana. She is co-compilator and co-prologuist of Las palabras de El Escriba. Artículos publicados en Revolución y Lunes de Revolución by Virgilio Piñera (Havana, Union, 2015) and co-author of De El Año Nuevo a Ulises: La literatura mexicana en la prensa del siglo XIX y principios del XX (Mexico, Colsan, 2017).
Her research interests include Latin American and Hispanic Caribbean Literature; Media and intellectual networks in the Latin American context; Cuban Literature of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries; Mexican Literature 20th and 21st centuries; Gender studies; Feminist Theory and Digital Humanities with focus on textual analysis.
